The parts are played AABB.<br> According to Ryan’s Mammoth Collection, it was composed by one Tom Doyle.<br> Composer Doyle also contributed "Parnell and Ireland" and "Paddy's Farewell to America" to<br> William Bradbury Ryan's 1883 collection (published in Boston by Elias Howe).<br> I have not been able to find any information on Tom Doyle or any further information on this<br> tune.<br> The B part is somewhat reminiscent of "The Irish Washerwoman".<br> It was printed in Cole's 1000 Fiddle Tunes (1940) and<br> Ryan’s Mammoth Collection (1883).<br>
